Culebra is one of the rarest, most sought after brugmansia. Culebra has narrow,deep green, leaves. The blooms are totally different-the petals are separate instead of fused petals like other brugs. The blooms have 5 separate petals, 9 inches long and 4 inches wide. When originally discovered in the Sibundoy valley of Columbia,the esteemed Harvard botanist Richard Evans Schultes named it "Methysticodendron amesianum". It was later reclassified as Brugmansia by Tommy Lockwood. This brug,due to its fascinating appearance,is simply a must have in any plant collection.
